We are now well used to hearing of billions of pounds being 'mislaid' or 'lost' by our bankers. We have auditors and credit rating agencies who told us that all was well shortly before the money was lost. The FSA and the Treasury and even our Scottish censored Prime Minister noticed nothing wrong.
So it is perhaps invidious to talk about the odd hundred thousand pounds of public money going walkabout but here goes.
